In the Season Two episode A Matter of Time, we were introduced to JackO’Neill’s old buddy Frank Cromwell. There was a lot of  history between the two men, as Cromwell had been in charge of operations on the mission that resulted in O’Neill’s capture in Iraq.

Fanfic author Flora explored that history, creating a rich backstory of the two men’s lives and a past friendship that really set the tone for the episode. As its prequel, her tales provide the foundation upon which my own later work – a  sequel to the episode – draws. Here, for your reading pleasure, is Flora’s work.
